Topologically Closed Packed Phase and Its Interaction with Dislocation Movement in Ni–Based Superalloy during High–Temperature Creep

چکیده
In superalloys, topologically close–packed (TCP) phases, which contain refractory elements, usually significantly influence the mechanical properties. The current work investigates structure and composition of TCP phase in an Al–Mo–rich Ni–based single crystal superalloy. It is shown that after 40 h thermal exposure, a large number strip–like phases are formed, enriched Mo Re. identified as tetragonal σ with lattice parameter being 0.93 nm c 0.50 nm. During creep process, tilts obviously leads to orientation variation from <1 1 0> direction. Two groups dislocations observed deformed sample. One group contains straight dislocation lines another networks. interaction between superalloy studied reveal effect on deformation behavior. creep, hinders movement, may contribute propagation cracks final fracture.

Creep Deformation by Dislocation Movement in Waspaloy
Creep tests of the polycrystalline nickel alloy Waspaloy have been conducted at Swansea University, for varying stress conditions at 700 °C. Investigation through use of Transmission Electron Microscopy at Cambridge University has examined the dislocation networks formed under these conditions, with particular attention paid to comparing tests performed above and below the yield stress. This pa...

Dislocation jamming and andrade creep.
We simulate the glide motion of an assembly of interacting dislocations under the action of an external shear stress and show that the associated plastic creep relaxation follows Andrade's law. Our results indicate that Andrade creep in plastically deforming crystals involves the correlated motion of dislocation structures near a dynamic transition separating a flowing from a jammed phase. Simu...

In this paper, we discuss the role of topology as a predictor for the conceptualization of dynamically changing spatial configurations (referred to as movement patterns). We define meaningful units of movement patterns as paths through a topologically defined conceptual neighborhood graph. Topology plays a central role in formal approaches to human cognition and in predicting cognitive similari...
متن کاملCreep of Ni-Al and Ni-Cr-Al Superalloy Foams
The steady-state creep rate of Ni-base metallic foams, with superalloy composition (in wt. pct) Ni7.8∼9.1Al (relative density, ρ = 2.5-2.6) and Ni-13.5∼16.6Cr-5.1∼8.9Al (ρ = 2.8∼3.0), was measured under a range of temperatures (680∼825°C) and applied stresses (0.1∼0.3 MPa), and compared with that of NiAl intermetallic foams (ρ = 5.3). The stress exponent and activation energy are within the exp...
